Yesterday, in the last Qualification Series races for todays Medal Race, Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI succeeded to defend rank 10 in the RS:X men windsurfers by a small margin, and he has room to improve his rankings in the Medal Race. The Hyères Worldcup is over for Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI as they were penalized with another disqualification in the 49ers dropping on rank 26 overall. Today begins the joint European Championship of the Lasers Standard and Lasers Radial (women and men) in La Rochelle FRA. Superior favorite in the Lasers Radial is Marit Bouwmeester NED dominating the Class this year. 101 female participants from 38 nations and 4 continents are on the entry list. 61 starters from 15 nations are in the male fleet.
