Laser Standard & Radial – European Championship 2018 – La Rochelle FRA – Day 1

The Laser Standard, Radial women and Radial men European Championship began in La Rochelle FRA yesterday. Suna and a 12kn wind prevailed during the first two races held in all classes.The first leader in the Lasers Standard is Sam Meech NZL, winning both heats of his group. With the ranks 1/2 followed Matthew Wearn AUS on rank 2. Pavlos Kontides CYP is on 3rd (btw: the European title goes to the best European). In the Lasers Radial women, Maxime Jonker NED finished twice on top of her group and leads ahead of Marie Barrué FRA (2/2) and Tuula Tenkanen FIN on the ranks 2 and 3. Laser 4.7 – European Youth Championship 2018 – Patras GRE – Final results

The Laser 4.7 Youth European Championship in Greece was concluded yesterday. In the Girls, Giorgia Cingolani ITA climbed on rank one in the last race ahead of Eline Verstraelen BEL at equal points with Silver. Ursula Balas CRO dropped on rank 3.In the Boys, the title went to Cesare Barabino ITA. Emilios Monos GRE and Dikaios Kerkoulas GRE grasped Silver and Bronze. 420 – Coupe Internationale Méditerranée dAmitié CIMA – Martigues FRA – Day 5

The CIMA 420 Final Series sailed in Martigues FRA in Gold- and Silverfleets began yesterday for the first time during this event with a fresher breeze. The changed conditions provoked numerous modifications in the rankings. Ian Garreta/Juien Bunel FRA are the new leaders 2 points head of Enzo Balanger/Gaultier Tallieu FRA and Tom Marsan/Victor Herbert FRA at equal points on rank 2. With only 3 points on rank 1, the Girls team Violette Dorange/Camille Orion FRA on 4th are still contenders for the final win. Today is the last day in Martigues. Laser Radial – Youth European Championship 2018 – Balatonföldvar HUN – Day 5

Day 5 of the Laser Radial Youth Europeans on Lake Balaton and for the first time a fresher 15-18kn wind prevailed. After a long 8-hour-day and 20 general recall, the Boys had 3, the Girls 2 races more on their score sheet. Guido Gallinaro ITA defended his first place in the Boys rankings with an 11 points lead on Marcelo Cairo ESP best of the day with the ranks 2/5/3. On rank 3 follows now Campbell Patton BER. In the Girls, Matilda Talluri ITA as best of the day has taken rank 1 ahead of Federica Cattarozzi ITA on 2nd. Valerya Lomatchenko RUS moved up on the 3rd place thanks to a race win. The Final Series at the 4.7 Laser Youth Europeans continued yesterday with one race for the Boys and two races for the Girls. Despite of his worst race - fortunately discarded - Cesare Barabino ITA extended his lead in the Boys on 10 points. Emilios Monos GRE and Dikaios Kerkoulas GRE are the first persuers. In the Girls, Ursula Balas CRO reclaimed the first place 4 points ahead of Giorgia Cingolani ITA on rank 2. Laser – Championnat de la Méditerrannée – Marseille FRA – Final results

Light winds around 8kn again in Marseille yesterday and all three fleets sailed another race only without major changes on the podiums.Farah Imbert SUI finished first in the Lasers 4.7 with two race wins ahead of Maxime Faure FRA and Joanne Gavin AUS. Two bullets also for Louise Cervera FRA in the Radials, ahead of Matisse Pacaud FRA on 2nd and Gauthier Verhulst SUI climbing on 3rd overall in the last race. Swiss victory in the Lasers Standard: Nicolas Rolaz SUI remained on top inspite of a premature start. 420, 470 – Nationale Printemps CIMA – Martigues FRA – Day 2

Since last Sunday, the 420s and 470s have been sailing the CIMA, the national spring championship, and both classes completed 5 races so far. In the 470s, a number of overseas teams participate on their way from Palma to Hyères (starting next Sunday). Hippolyte Maccheti/Sidoine Dantes FRA lead in the 470s with a 6 points advantage on Kevin Peponnet/Jérémy Mion FRA. Yves Mermod/Cyril Schüpbach SUI are on the 3rd place among the 30 teams from 10 nations. In the 420s, female teams are in front with Solenza Mariani/Clara Olive FRA one point ahead of Violette Dorange/Camille Orion FRA. All ranking lists....
