Every three years or so our little club, the Sydney Amateur Sailing Club, stages a one-day celebration regatta for classic yachts that’s become known as “Gaffer’s Day”.
After delays caused by Covid, the tradition resumed yesterday on Sydney Harbour in splendid weather.
Above is Nerida, the 1932 Alfred Milne classic owned by Sir James Hardy. Here we are with all guns blazing – main, jib, staysail, jib topsail and jackyard topsail. Anarchist D.
