Muckle Flugga is the name of my Grand Banks 36. It is the last lighthouse to see when heading around the north of Great Britton before visiting the Grand Banks and the first on return.
Of more significance to me is that it was my forefathers, on my Mothers side, the Stevenson family, who built the lighthouse, along with all the lighthouses in Scotland. Strangely, before knowing this I became a coastal engineer designing harbours, marinas and coastal protection works, so it is genetic!! – Anarchist Angus.
