Charlie Buckingham, Newport Beach, CA secured a regatta win at the 2021 Laser Midwinters East hosted by Key Biscayne Yacht Club, with nothing but top-3 finishes, 8 points ahead of Juan I. Maegli, Los Sauces, GUA. Ernesto Rodriguez, Fleet 007 Miami completed the podium in the 25 boat Laser Standard fleet. —– Sarah Douglas, Ashbridges Bay YC, CAN discarding a 4th place, had the upper hand in the huge 88 boat Open Laser Radial fleet, 5 points ahead of Paige Railey Clearwater, FL. Isabella Maegli GUA finished in 3rd. —– The best Male participant was the skiff helmsman Stephan Baker, Key Biscayne YC on rank 4. —– Umi Noritake, Lauderdale YC, won in the 45 boat Laser 4.7 fleet. —– The Standards and Radials completed 10, the 4.7 finished 9 races in perfect Biscayne Bay conditions. —– The results and the US Sailing Report.
