In the still dominating light-winds of the huge anticyclone, the leading trio has been opting for different strategies. Yannick Bestaven FRA (Mau00eetre Coq) is trying to deviate the slack on the northern edge, while the runner-up Charlie Dalin FRA (Apivia), squeezing in along the ice exclusion zone in the extreme south, has been reducing the backlog to only 1.2nm this morning UTC. Thomas Ruyant FRA (LinkedOut), previously 3rd, went the farthest north dropping to 7th. New in 3rd now is Boris Herrmann GER (SeaExplorer) with a 294nm backlog. Just one mile behind follows Jean Le Cam FRA (Yes we Cam) in 4th place as best non-Foiler. Damien Séguin FRA (Groupe Apicil, Non-Foiler) sailed not far behind 319nm back in 5th, accompanied by two whales yesterday. The video. Ranks 3-8 (Isabelle Joschke FRA/GER, MACSF) remained just 30 miles apart. —– The race tracker and the reports.
