We just got some disturbing news that Ched Proctor’s son, Charlie Proctor, was involved in a bicycle accident yesterday which, sadly, resulted in him passing away.
Charlie sailed with his dad quite a bit over the past 10 years, mostly on the Lightning, and it got to the point where I think Ched only wanted to sail if Charlie could be on board. They won the 2018 Lightning North Americans sailing together in San Diego which was a great moment for their family.
