I am currently preparing my 4th Vendée Globe . There are moments at sea where we find ourselves in fullness, which make me love it, which I find extraordinary and which I like. So it’s a bit like the ordinary sailor for a somewhat extraordinary journey that is around the world.
The moment that I particularly appreciate is the moment when we are far from the Canaries, we have trade winds, the boat goes fast and without too much spray, just a little spray in the bow for a little wet my boat and we tell ourselves that we have an extraordinary chance to experience this on such extreme boats, 18 m boats, such a large mast. The boat is fine, the computer says that we are in full capacity with the boat, and that everything is good. – Arnaud Boissières.
