Huge shout out to our pals on the MOD70 Powerplay for claiming line honors in the 12th edition of RORC’s Caribbean 600. The MOD 70 owned by Peter Cunningham – a true gentleman of the game – included some legends of the sport including Loick Peyron, Charlie Ogletree and Northern California’s Matt Noble and Paul Allen.
Skippered by Englishman Ned Collier-Wakefield, the blue MOD 70 counted at least seven separate lead changes during their 600 mile match race against Jason Carroll’s MOD 70 Argo, which was navigated by none other than So Cal gangsta Artie Means. In the end, Powerplay finished just four minutes ahead of Argo after nearly two days of racing. Incredible racing!
Want to have a shot at line honors in next year’s Caribbean 600? We hear a rumor that Powerplay will be available for sale come summer time for a cool $1.5 mil…
