Men and Women’s One Person Dinghy
- Summary
1.1 Council will recall that in May 2019 it selected the equipment known as the Laser and Laser Radial as the Men’s and Women’s One Person Dinghy respectively. At that time, the Board indicated that it would only continue negotiations over the required contracts until 1 August 2019.
1.2 World Sailing received the proposals of the Class by the deadline and the Board met on 5
August 2019 to review the proposals. Having clarified a number of items post-meeting, the Board is satisfied that the proposed arrangements for the Class are acceptable to World Sailing.
1.3 The Board has decided that, as Council is the body which makes the selection, it is
appropriate for Council to confirm this recommendation. This will be conducted via electronic vote (details in covering email).
1.4 This paper is a summary of the proposed arrangements for the Class.
