Laser Standard & Radial – Master World Championship – Port Zelande NED – Day 4, three North Americans on Medal positions


Racing resumed at the Laser World Masters in the Netherlands with two heats sailed in a 10-15kn wind. —– In the Lasers Standard, Wolfgang Gerz GER is on a safe way to the Great Grand Masters (65-75) title. Don Hahl USA stayed on rank 4. The same is true for Serge Kats NED, Masters (45-55) on first in the Standard Masters. Peter Hurley USA] remained on 6th. In the Standard Grand Masters, Carlos Martinez ESP extended his lead on Thomas Nordquist SWE. Peter Vesella USA is up on 4th again. No change in the Standard Apprentices where Jared West ESP is on top, Gord Welsh CAN on rank 5. —– In the Lasers Radial, most decisions re the Champions seem to be made. Only in the Legends (75+), the ranks 1 and 2 – Kerry Waraker AUS and Johan Van Rossem CAN – are separated by one point only. In the Radial Grand Masters (55-65), Gilles Coadou FRA is on a solid first place. Timothy Woodford CAN kept rank 3. Jeff Loosemore AUS defended his first place in the Radial Great Grand Masters (65-75). Bill Symes USA moved up on rank 2. In the Standard Masters, Scott Leith NZL is first, Robert Hallawell USA advanced on rank 7.
