Olympic Worldcup 2019/20 – Act 1 – Enoshima JPN – Day 1, Ramshaw CAN 5th Finn only NorAm top-10

The only top-10 finish of North American sailors on day one of the Enoshima Worldcup Regatta came from Tom Ramshaw CAN as 5th in the only Finn race. Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA as 10th in the 49ers/FX, Caleb Paine USA 11th and Luke Muller USA as 13th in the Finns, Carmen Cowles/Emma Cowles USA as 12th in the 470 women and Charlie Buckingham USA as 13th in the Lasers Standard delivered top-15 results. —– The light wind impacted the program and not all classes could complete the planned program. —– Please find here the updated results of all North American teams/sailors and the US Sailing Team Report. —————- Hereafter the top ranks of all events: —– In the only race of the 470 men, Snow-Hanson/Wilcox NZL finished 1st ahead of Doi/Kimura JPN. —– Hayashi/Nishidai JPN were the winners in the 470 women race in front of Mas-Depares/Cantero ESP and Wanser/Wanser GER. —– Three races were held in the 49ers with Buksach/Wierzbicki POL and Fischer/Graf GER sharing the lead. —– The 49erFX with two races have Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA on top ahead of Kimberly Lim/Cecilia Low SGP and Carla and Marta Munte-Carrasco ESP. —– Josijp Oluijc CRO won the only race of the Finns ahead of Nicholas Heiner NED. —– In the Nacras 17, the leaders after two races are Ben Saxton/Nicole Boniface GBR followed by Nathan and Haylee Outteridge AUS on 2nd. —– Two races were completed in the Laser Standard with Tonci Stipanovic CRO in the lead ahead of Pavlos Kontides CYP and Nick Thompson GBR. —–In the Lasers Radial, Manmi Doi JPN is on rank 1 after two races ahead of Emma Plaesschart BEL. —— First in the RS:X men windsurfers after 3 races is Angel Granda ESP ahead of Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI. —– In the RS:X women, Peina Chen CHN is first in front of Wai Yan Nguai HKG and Yunxiu Lu CHN. —– All ranking lists and the report.
