Monitor was an experimental foiling monohull apparently developed by the US Navy in the 1950s.
She still exists in a museum somewhere but when launched surpassed 30 knots with ease with some claiming 40 knots. Foil design has come on a bit since then but obviously not concepts, even the steering wheel is similar (without the buttons).
