BREAKING NEWS: Olympic Test Event – Enoshima JPN – Final results, no changes on top of the ranking, only 470 women can sail Medal Race


The Olympic Test Event in Japan has just been concluded. All but the 470 women Medal Races were abandoned because of insufficient wind. —— Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA finished first again and are the superior winners in the 470 woman ahead of Hannah Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR and Agnieszka Skrzypulec/Jolanta Ogar POL. —– In the 470 men, Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS earned Gold followed by Anton Dahlberg/Frederik Bergström SWE and Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP. Stuart McNay/David Hughes USA are on 4th. —– Berecz Zsombor HUN was the premature winner in the Finns before the last day already. Nicholas Heiner NED and Giles Scott GBR followed on 2nd and 3rd. —– Jesper Stalheim SWE finished on top of the Lasers Standard ahead of Tom Burton AUS and Hermann Tomasgaard NOR. —– In the Lasers Radial, Emma Plaesschart BEL left the Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED on rank 2. Maria Erdi HUN took Bronze. 7th is Sarah Douglas CAN and 8th Erika Reineke USA. —– All ranking lists, the results of all North Americans, the US Sailing Report and the report of the Finn Class (N.B. The Class flicked from the Games by World Sailing was the only one to cover the Test Event on time professionally … a role model …. !)
