The Laser 4.7 Youth World Championship in Kingston CAN began yesterday with three races for the Boys fleet (split in two groups) and two races for the Girls. —–With three bullets in his group, Roko Stipanovic CRO took the lead in the Boys, Derin Baytur TUR and Dmitry Golovkin RUS follow tied on the ranks 2 and 3. —– The best North Americans by nation among the 118 participants are Erik Hou USA 23rd, Julian Van Den Driessche ISV 28th, Sebastian Medina PUR 38th and Andreas Steinitz CAN 59th. —– Marilena Makri CYP is first in the Girls with two race wins.
