The first Final races of the Laser Standard Worlds were held yesterday in light 5 to 8kn winds, and the Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS, day ranks 8 and 2, moved on top 6 points ahead of Sam Meech NZL on 2nd. Philipp Buhl GER follows on rank 3. —– The best North American is Charlie Buckingham USA on rank 17. Christopher Barnard USA is 37th and Henry Marshall USA 38th. Robert Davis CAN follows on the 46th place. —– A race within the race goes for five 2020 Olympic nation berths, where Sergei Komissarov RUS, rank 6 overall after a race win, is now the best placed, together with Jesper Stalheim SWE on 9th.
