The Junior World Championships of the Olympic speed classes were concluded in Norway yesterday with two races per class. —– Isaac McHardie/William McKenzie NZL were the superior winners in the 49ers ahead of James Grummett/Daniel Budden GBR and Robert Dickson/Sean Waddilove IRL. William + Samuel Bonin CAN finished the Championship on 23rd overall. No USA entrants among the 53 teams. —– In the 49ersFX, Alexandra Stalder/Silvia Speri ITA grasped Gold relegating Vilma Brobeck/MalinTengström SWE on 2nd. Bronze went to Willemijn Offerman/Elise Ruyter NED. Georgia + Antonia Lewin-LaFrance CAN are 21th among the 36 teams. No USA entrants. —– Gold for Italy in the Nacra 17-catamarans as well with Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilai ITA 4 points ahead of Natacha Saouma/Matthias Bruun DEN and Silas Mühle/Romy Mackenbrock GER.
