When anticipating severe weather, it’s good to make sure the snacks are secured. Yesterday we racing in the Duluth – Bayfield feeder race leading up to Bayfield Race week on L. Superior aboard the Melges 32 Strawman. A major storm rolled through with multiple bow echos. We got the sails on the deck just before a wind line passed over us with 50kt gusts. After the squall subsided and we got back into race mode, we realized that someone had cleated a sausage in preparation for the storm.
Photo above is the properly secured sausage. 2nd photo is the storm passing over Duluth about an hour before it caught up to us. – Anarchist Andy.
