International Classes – Kiel Week – Kiel GER – Day 1 – 18 Classes/Divisions in part I of the Week, incl. CAN/USA boats in Radials and 29ers


Part one of the 2019 Kiel Week with 18 International and National Classes sailing was kicked off yesterday in good sailing conditions. —– Present among others are the OK-Dinghies (91 boats), sailing their European Championship, and the clear favorite Freddy Lööf SWE is already in the lead after two races. In the Laser Radial Open (125 boats, incl. 2 CAN and 2 USA), Emma Savelon NED is first ahead of Tayte Stefaniuk CAN 2nd. Daniel Escudero USA follows on rank 30. —– In the 5o5s (30 boats), the epic duel between Hunger/Jess GER and Böjsen-Möller/Böjsen-Möller DEN is going on with the Germans 2 points ahead after 3 races. The 29ers (117 boats) sail another round of their Eurocup Series. After 4 races, Jonas Schupp/Moritz Hagenmayer GER and Alice Moss/Carl Hörfelt SWE share the lead at equal points. Berta Puig/Bella Casaretto USA are 4th. Stephan Baker/Oliver Duncan USA, day ranks 1 and blackflag, are 50th —– All other ranking lists and the news (scroll down).
