Part one of the 2019 Kiel Week with 18 International and National Classes sailing was kicked off yesterday in good sailing conditions. —– Present among others are the OK-Dinghies (91 boats), sailing their European Championship, and the clear favorite Freddy Lööf SWE is already in the lead after two races. In the Laser Radial Open (125 boats, incl. 2 CAN and 2 USA), Emma Savelon NED is first ahead of Tayte Stefaniuk CAN 2nd. Daniel Escudero USA follows on rank 30. —– In the 5o5s (30 boats), the epic duel between Hunger/Jess GER and Böjsen-Möller/Böjsen-Möller DEN is going on with the Germans 2 points ahead after 3 races. The 29ers (117 boats) sail another round of their Eurocup Series. After 4 races, Jonas Schupp/Moritz Hagenmayer GER and Alice Moss/Carl Hörfelt SWE share the lead at equal points.
