470 – European Championship 2019 – San Remo ITA – Day 5 – no North Americans in Medal Races today

Stormy winds exceeding 40kn inhibited additional races in San Remo ITA yesterday and it was decided to conclude the the qualification series after 6 races. Today, the Medal Races of the 10 best per gender fleet will be held. —- Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS have a solid 7 point lead in the 470 Open ahead of Dahlberg/Bergström SWE on 2nd and best European. Xammar/Rodriguez ESP follow on rank 3. —- In the 470 women, Hannah Mills/Eilidh MyIntyre GBR are 5 points in front of Lecointre/Retornaz FRA. Mas-Depares/Cantero ESP follow on rank 3. —- For Stuart McNay/David Hughes USA on 15th in the 470 men, as well as in the women Atlantic and Nora Brugman USA on 30th and Nikole Barnes/Lara Dallman-Weiss USA on 37th, the Championship is over. —- All ranking lists and the daily news.
