Olympic Worldcup 2019 – Act 3 – Genoa ITA – Day 1


Yesterday, Round 3 of the Olympic Classes Worldcup was kicked off in Genoa ITA in sunshine and light winds varying from 5-12kn. Eight of the ten Olympic Classes were present with the RS:X windsurfers missing. On the opening day, the speed classes were active with two races for the 49ers and one race for the Nacra-17 (one group with a second race). — First leaders in the 49ers are Tim Fischer/Fabian Graf GER with two bullets. McHardie/McKenzie NZL and Gilmour/Gilmour AUS follow on the ranks 2 and 3. Harry Melges/Finn Rowe on 28th are the best-ranked USA team among the 65 participants. — In the 49ersFX, Julia Gross/Hanna Klinga SWE have taken the lead ahead of Grael/Kunze BRA and Jurczok/Lorenz GER. Stephanie Roble/Margaret Shea USA are on 4th. — Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR and Lorenzo Bressani/Cecilia Zorza ITA finished first in their Nacra 17 groups. Rasmus Rosengreen/Ida Svensson NOR and Ravi Parent/Caroline Attwood USA, both with a 2nd race rank, are tied on 3rd and 4th. — And here are all ranking lists, as well as the List of all Northamericans (CAN/MEX/PUR/USA)..
