For 2 days now, the 140-Foot Trimaran Spindrift has been making good speed in the Roaring Forties and will today, after 12 days underway, pass the Cape of Good Hope longitude waypoint. With 392nm, the advantage on the existing record remained stable during the past 24hrs. Yann Guichard and his team will enter the Indian Ocean soon that Francis Joyon FRA crossed with a fabulous 36kn average speed in his record ride two years ago.
