IRC – Sydney-Hobart-Race – Hobart AUS – Day 4 – Line Honours for Wild Oats XI

At the entry to the Derwent River up to Hobart, the four Super Maxis were still in a close fight for the lead, and finally, it was Wild Oats XI with Mark Richards AUS who had the upper hand finishing after 1 day 19 hours (10 hours over the previous year record). This was the 9th victory of Wild Oats XI. Black Jack of Peter Harburg AUS (with Brad Butterworth NZL) followed 28 minutes back and another minute behind, Comanche of Jim Cooney USA was 3rd.
