The adrenaline-fueled Extreme Sailing Series™ returns to Harbor Island, San Diego, from October 18-21 this year, following its successful debut in 2017. Presented by SAP, the penultimate stop on the action-packed global tour will play host to a fleet of elite-level international sailing teams, whose crew boasts Olympians, World Champions and America’s Cup superstars.
The event will provide shore-side entertainment for the whole family from October 18-21. Spectators can enjoy entertainment, bars, food stalls and expert commentary of the racing, and also take advantage of the perfect viewing spot from the free-to-enter public Race Village. Highfield RIBs will also be set up in the public Race Village and will be raffling off one of their CL380 double deck hulled dinghy – make sure you bring along your Sailing Club affiliation to be entered into the prize draw.
Stop by the US Sailing Education Zone, located in the public Race Village, to experience hands-on, interactive educational activities from US Sailing, Mission Bay Aquatic Center, Sailors for the Sea, USS Midway, Elementary Institute of Science, Fleet Science Center, Living Coast Discovery Center, San Diego Coastkeeper, Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County, the San Diego Maritime Museum and more!

As well as the fast and furious GC32 Stadium Racing, the O’pen BICs will take to the water on October 20 & 21 for the O’pen BIC Pre Game ‘Un-Regatta’. Adding to the on-water activities will be the Extreme San Diego Foiling Kite Board Invitational, which will see some of the world’s top riders compete on Harbor Island.
