VOR65 – Ocean Race 2017/18 – Leg 11 – Day 3 – Decision today!


On their way south in the direction The Hague the three contenders for the victory have chosen different strategies. The leading Dongfeng with Charles Caudrelier FRA remained close to the coast and lost a lot. They are now 5th, 30 miles behind the leaders. The new leader is AkzoNobel (Simeon Tienpont NED), but just 0,8 miles back is Brunel (Bouwe Bekking NED) who is now in the pole position for the overall victory, although Mapfre with Javi Fernandez ESP is just another 0,8 miles behind. 140 miles are still to sail.
