Being Therevideo

return of the reverend

After a little soul-searching in Kiwilandia, our old friend and filmmaker Petey Crawford seems to have gotten his groove back, at least if you go by this very well-produced video promo for the C&C 30 Winter Series.  More from the Class:
Entering its 4th year, the C&C 30 One Design Class is working hard to generating some new excitement. The group of owners in the US are committed to maintaining a regatta schedule designed to attract current and prospective class members and get participation numbers back up to double digits.  There are obviously a few lingering questions about the future of the class and new builds with US Watercraft auction scheduled for tomorrow Nov 11th. However, there are a lot of boats ready to be sailed and a common goal within the current ownership to get boats on the starting line. This isn’t your friend’s uncle’s C&C 30, and the One Design class is a great boat to fill the gap in the 30-35′ sportboat range left by the demise of the US Melges 32 class.
When 2 hurricanes devastated the Caribbean islands and therefore the 2017/2018 Winter schedule, everyone decided that Fort Lauderdale would be a great alternative and the plan was put in motion. With 4 regattas schedule,  there are some great opportunities for some awesome one design action to attract teams from across the US and offer a chance for new teams to dip their toes in the C&C 30 OD class and charter one of the available boats. Check it out and make sure to contact [email protected] for any questions about charters, boats for sale etc. He will direct you to the appropriate person.  Come to Lauderdale this winter. It’s Time To Get Down!
