This DK 46 Boomerang has seen better days after hitting the bricks off Ala Moana in Hawaii yesterday. The karmic story is that the owner hit the bricks a few years back with his prior Boomerang, and sued the state claiming the channel marker was in the wrong place. So the state moved the buoy farther in to the middle of the channel…and tossed the Friday night racers out of the turning basin where they were holding the starts. Not appreciated by the sailors.
I bet the state is chuckling now. Maybe the reef was moved too far out? – Anarchist HR.
