It’s easy to have a love/hate relationship with the US Coast Guard; their life saving prowess and bravery is legendary, but so is their incompetence when coming alongside for a boarding. And let’s not even get into what happens when horsepower-drunk coasties meet big crowds.
For the most part though, the folks who work at the USCG are sailors and seaman who genuinely car about your safety and health. But what do you do when they’re acting more like steroid-raging SWAT teams than helpful mariners, and they want to board your boat?
