The 505 Class American Section just wrapped up their annual North American Championship, a preview for the 2017 World Championships co-hosted by Eastport Yacht Club and Severn Sailing Association in Annapolis, MD in September of 2017. The Worlds is expected to draw over 100 teams from all over the world including Europe and Australia.
College sailors who are looking for the next step in their sailing lives after graduation should consider checking out the 505. Now is a perfect time to get into the class with such a big event coming to our backyard in less than two years. The class is a natural fit for sailors coming out of college; just ask 505 sailors and past “College Sailor of the Year” winners Augie Diaz, Sam Altreuter, Steve Benjamin, Tyler Moore, Ryan Cox, Mark Ivey, Dalton Bergan, Chris Behm, and Thomas Barrows.
