Is there a record for most records…?
Phaedo^3, skippered by Brian Thompson, has just completed a world record attempt sail from Antigua to Newport, and has smashed the current world record, by approx. 16 hours. They finished the trip in 3 days 5 hours 55 mins 12 seconds ….
Said navigator Miles Seddon – “We had a fantastic trip!.. amazing sailing in the first two days. We managed a 654 mile day one. We did park off the gulf stream, but then found some lucky wind, and the fog magically cleared as we were just off Newport, all crew onboard super happy” (subject to World Sailing Speed Record Council ratification – WSSRC).
