We’ll be digging into some extremely troubling events in the world of sailing media in a long ‘media wars’ report next week, but this week’s media war is much simpler: Sailing World editor Dave Reed is trimming main for Heather Gregg-Earl’s J/70 entry Muse, while Sailing Anarchy Senior Editor is trimming headsails on Brian Eliot and Brian Cameron’s B-Squared. It’s old media vs. new and New England vs. everywhere else, with no deflated balls this time. (Oh there will most certainly be some deflated balls…-ed)
Both entries are amateur-only, and at the moment, Team Clean holds the edge by 34 points overall, with Team Reed team just 5 points out of B-Squared’s second place spot in the Corinthian classification by just 5 points. Who’s gonna take it? Watch SA’s Facebook Page for updates from the course throughout the day.
