Sunrise at 03h50 while sailing on the Saphire 27 during the Faerder Race that started in Oslo this past weekend. Gorgeous weather, fantastic scenery and a wonderful sailing, party, social tradition that is embedded in the Norwegian culture.
We saw close on 40 knot gusts during the night while navigating some very narrow channels in the Fjord. It fortunately never got dark after sunset and allowed us to twice spot unmarked rocks during the night. Without a doubt, one of my most memorable regattas ever. – Anarchist Daniel.
