Owner/skipper Anthony Leighs has entered his little Elliott 35 weapon ‘Crusader’ in the 1200nm Auckland to Fiji race starting in just a month’s time.
There has been a huge amount of race prep going on for the team including winning the 120nm Auckland Tauranga race on both line and handicap (beating a 3 year old RP42 by 4hrs on line in the process…) and this little gem of a 250nm qualifying voyage which we did earlier this week.
Not every day you get to assemble a crew of great mates (and accomplished sailors) and go send it on such a seriously cool boat like ‘Crusader’. This has all the ingredients of an epic tour. Seriously looking forward to it. – Anarchist BooBoo.
