This Saturday’s inaugural meeting of this new addition to the student yachting calendar went surprisingly well considering. Amazingly, 11 boats congregated at Bardowie from locations as far afield as Swindon, Norwich, somewhere near Aberdeen, and even Glasgow. Many of the vessels competing had been built specially for a MINI SUSA 2014 campaign.
Last minute boat construction was the theme of the morning with Rob Walker having stayed up all night building a new rig after some school kids stole his original mast* along with his Pokémon cards and lunch money**.
