The first major U.S. regatta of the International One Meter season kicks off this Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Over 40 boats are entered for the American Model Yachting Association Region 6 Championships at the Pond in San Diego. This event marks the opening of the qualifying period for the IOM World Championships to be held in Foster City Calif in May of 2015.
So far, 14 ranking events are scheduled around the US in 2014 to determine who get a shot at the Worlds from the US. If you’re in the San Diego area, check out the season opener at the model yacht pond on Vacation Island this weekend. And we can neither confirm nor deny if the Ed will be there.
