No matter how small the Strictly Sail Chicago show gets (and it now has about half the exhibitors it did a few years ago), the Winter Anarchy party is always standing room only and the best chance of the season to touch base with all your industry and Midwest sailing pals. Come check out the show, but don’t forget to cab your ass over to Lizzie McNeill’s Chicago tonight at 9, and pony up a lousy ten bucks for as many free pours of Goose Island Brewery deliciousness as you like til Midnight (or whenever the kegs run out). Check in with Mr. Clean, Mer, Morgan, and the hundreds of other pals you’ve gotten to know over the 8 years of Winter Anarchy parties we’ve hosted, and a big thanks to Line Honors – Yacht Racing Outfitters, Crowley’s Yacht Yard Lakeside, and GoSailingChicago.com for the beer, and of course Sailing Anarchy for some great swag coming your way. Stay warm – get drunk, and we’ll see you there!
And don’t forget to check our Facebook Page for more great interviews today as well as a video walkthrough of the sexy (for Catalina) new 275, the new Fantail from Tartan, and news from J/boats, Melges, the sailmakers, and a pile of unexpectedly interesting exhibitors as well. The nightmare on I-94 may have curtailed our tour yesterday, but we still grabbed the first J/88 owner in the Midwest, the distributor of the sexy new super light and strong Karver Jammer, and the Membership Manager for the strongly growing Columbia Yacht Club for some insight. Check ’em out here.
