From the better late than never department…
FRESH-fresh ice only 48 hours old!Christmas Eve it was I checked it and put an axe thru so easily that I almost shit myself. By Christmas noon I went back & found 3.5 inches of perfect plate glass!
At first we clung to shore watching the bottom pass under our feet [magic!!] and by day’s end we had crossed out over deep water to reach the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club about 1.5 miles distant.
It is f’n spooky when it is so black beneath and you have no shadow. You are sailing on a thin membrane that only exists due to temperature . It is a trip! Happy New Year! – Anarchist William. And thanks to this video for the title inspiration!
