The hundred foot canter Esimit Europa (ex Alfa Romeo) continues to cherry pick line honors victories without much competition on her mission to “unite Europe“, though at last weekend’s Barcolana race in Trieste, skipper Jochen Schumann finally had another boat to contend with. The bad news? It was a RIB full of Greenpeace activists. The really bad news? Greenpeace caught one of the 100 footers’ support boat crew trying to stick a knife into the activists boat. Really? Nice job, douchebag.
And of course the crazy Ruskies have charged Greenpeace with piracy, while Greenpeace is protesting both the Russian gas giant’s arctic drilling program and the recent arrest of 28 Greenpeace members and two journalists for protests in Russia.
