Route Des Princes leading MOD-70 Spindrift went over in Dun Laoghaire just a couple of hours ago in the biggest breeze yet for the month-long European multihull adventure. And it was no hired gun; co-owner and skipper Yann Guichard was finally back at the helm and new tactician Nico Charbonnier at his side, and Spindrift’s capsize opens the door for Groupe Edmond de Rothschild to pounce on the overall lead just past the halfway point in the inaugural tour.
