Those of you bitching about our recently scantily clad SCOTWs can rejoice: We’re back to bona fide, badass chicks, and we start with hard-as-nails match racer Claire Pruvot, currently lying 16th overall and 2nd rookie in the Solitaire Du Figaro and managing to looks damned good in the process.
At 36, Claire has already won two women’s match race World Champs, raced the London Olympics, and sailed up and down France’s Atlantic and Mediterranean in hundreds of regattas. We’re glad to see the Normandy native has caught the big boat solo bug (and Normandy’s region Calvados and the Port of Caen as major sponsors), and we hope she sticks with it.
