Irish sailor David Kenefick, sailing the Full Irish had a little collision after the start of Leg 1 in the Gironde Estuary in Bordeaux. We saw him him hit something, obviously the first assumption was the muddy bottom. No-one was really that concerned as more than a couple of boats touched bottom. However we took David’s boat out of the water here at the end of Leg 1 in Porto, Portugal. Well, lets just say everyone was scratching heads when she was up on the dry. Have a look at the photo.
