This morning I met Gordon Kay , from infiniti yachts while waking around the club. I didn’t know who he was, but as he was beside “FOILED” , and the boat caught my attention I asked what it was, and 3 hours later I was flying at 20 knots in a 35′ monohul. It has been such a fun experience.. .
When we left the harbour we sailed for 30 minutes at 120-130º and making 18-19-20 knots with a code zero. In this photo, you can see boat speed in the first display… 19.39. The story is good and real , the boat literally flies with these foils – we came back to the harbour with a real wind angle of 90º and we where making consistent 14-16 knots and some times 18, in 20-25 knots of wind , one reef and the jib. I really hope they have success and get the system in other boats. Hhe told me they have a mini transat ready for this yea’r race.
