Big Pimpin’ – Weta Fever in North America
It’s all happening with Weta Trimarans in the USA, with a busy racing calendar down the East and West Coasts, and the highlight is the first ever US Nationals held in Fort Walton, FL in just over 20 days, sponsored by Ronstan.
Entries are ramping up and Weta Marine is putting on a flight and charter to the West Coast Charter for first place to add to the competition. Chris Kitchen is flying in from New Zealand to attend and will hold one of two chalk talk coaching seminars, the other is by Jonathan Weston – West Coast Weta Champ among other things….
There will be beers after every race, live music, photo boat, water boat for trash pickup and water distribution between races. We are working hard to make sure this one is done right. The NOR has been posted at www.fwyc.org and there is a registration form online – please fill this out if you think you are coming. You don’t need to pay until you get here, but there’s a late fee if you aren’t registered online. This will help the race committee plan for food, goodies, Weta and Ronstan swag!
Camping fees are included in the entry fee should you decide you want to join the group of people who will be enjoying the great spot to watch the sunrise…
Looking forward to seeing you all. If you were on the fence…now’s the time to hop off and start getting ready. This is going to be one to remember…
The friendly and passionate class association is getting some traction; check out their new website for more details on the season and on nationals!
