Jaime Torres and another Puerto Rican sailor have both moved up to the Melges 32 Class, and both boats will be sailing the 3-event Virgin Island Sailing Series starting next week in Virgin Gorda. Here, Smile and Wave heads upwind past San Juan’s famous San Felipe Del Morro castle during February’s CNSJ International Regatta; one of two handicap regattas Torres and his largely novice crew are using to train for the one-design series.
