Thanks to a slew of participating classes, clubs and volunteers in Miami, the southern Ciudad is rapidly becoming the only place that matters for big fleet winter sailing in the Northern Hemisphere. From the Jaguar to the Bacardi to the Olympic Classes to the multihulls, there is literally something for everyone, and the smart classes are jumping into the vibrant scene. The Stars and Etchells, the Melges/J/Viper sporties, and next year, the Marstrom 32 cat will have a 10+ boat series based in Miami. It’s where it’s at, and for good reason; this place rocks in every way.
