“Our story isn’t quite as exciting as the trip being undertaken by ACCIONA 100% EcoPowered, We were travelling from Buenos Aires to Santiago on the 10th January, sailing from the Falkland Islands to then round Cape Horn and return to Ushuaia. We were on the deck enjoying a calm sea and looking out for signs of whales and penguins when we spotted ACCIONA. It wasn’t what we were expecting to see at all…we were quite surprised to see a small sailing boat around the dangerous waters of the Cape. We took some photos with the fabulously impressive backdrop of Staten Island.”
When we got back home from Santiago, we wanted to find out what boat it actually was, so we looked it up on the internet. We actually didn’t expect to find out anything particularly exceptional, but then the team page appeared immediately. We started to read the captain’s log and this incredible adventure, and even read the days that we had coincided sailing in the same stretch of water.
