The veteran Olympic Star and the out-before-it-was-in kiteboard were having a ball on Biscayne Bay during the second stop of the Star Winter Series, which again showed a big increase from 2011 numbers. George Szabo crushed it, with Augie Diaz and Artur Anosov rounding out the podium. On the board is CRYC sailor and Anarchist Brian Kamilar tearing it up on the latest ultra wide course board, and it took him one 3 minute tack to pass through the entire fleet going upwind. If there’s one thing ISAF’s Olympic indecision did, it lit a huge fire under the kiters to get their shit – both organizationally and technically — together so there’s no question they’re ready for the 2020 games.
