To be fair, it can be pretty windy in Florida in the fall, but 20 knots+ every day of the A-Cat Worlds so far, with a forecast that is only getting worse? That’s a bit unusual. Here’s the carnage-filled highlight reel from a Day One that saw a dozen rigs down, a pile of broken boards and rudders, at least one holed boat and its sliced-up driver, and roughly half the 115-boat fleet with damage. His Acciona Sailing will use hydrogenerators, wind power, and solar power for everything, and here’s a little intro explaining his motivation.
