The videos keep piling up, and here’s another multi-movie showcase for your Hump Day pleasure.

To be fair, it can be pretty windy in Florida in the fall, but 20 knots+ every day of the A-Cat Worlds so far, with a forecast that is only getting worse?  That’s a bit unusual.  Here’s the carnage-filled highlight reel from a Day One that saw a dozen rigs down, a pile of broken boards and rudders, at least one holed boat and its sliced-up driver, and roughly half the 115-boat fleet with damage.  Word to shooter/editor Willy Clark, and results here.

Here’s a great little dismasting video from the always-insane start of the Barcolana in Trieste, Italy.  With more than 1700 boats sharing the start line, it’s amazing that there aren’t dozens of these videos.  Care to discuss who was at fault in this crash?  Hit the thread.

The Skiff Chicks Racing Team seems to have inspired some media action from other girls-only crews. First we showed you a video last week of yet another female 18-footer team, and today we give you the RC-44 version.  Like ‘em?  Then Like em.  And they’re recruiting



Javier “Bubi” Senso might not be a favorite for Vendee gold, but he may very well be the first man in history to race around the world without using any fossil fuels at all.  His Acciona Sailing will use hydrogenerators, wind power, and solar power for everything, and here’s a little intro explaining his motivation.  We’ll have more from this avowed anarchist when we meet him in France, and throughout the course of the race.
