The record-breaking foiler may have missed her chance at a transpacific record for the 2012 season, but Hydroptere DCNS’s trip to San Francisco wasn’t wasted.  Dozens of sailors and local folks had a chance to hop aboard, and Alain Thebault spread his enthusiasm for flight far and wide and built legions of new fans for his dream.  Here’s a good roundup of their months-long visit from SF videohead Vince Casalaina.
