We reported last week that Oracle Team USA was close to finalizing arrangements to cart the whole AC 72 development show to Larry’s private Idaho in Hawaii, But a report on Monday’s Pacific Business News reveals that it’s a no go, at least according to Grant Simmer.
Despite spending tens of thousands for planning and environmental impact studies, Oracle is staying put, at least for the moment. “We are grateful for the tremendous support given to our team and the project from the community of Lanai, Maui County and the government of Hawaii, and we hope we will get the opportunity to work together again in the future,” Simmer said in an email to PBN reporter Duane Shimogawa.
Will they stay or will they go? We’ll let you know.
